All the walls and ceiling in my room are plain white.

flooring is something of this color and design:

furniture has the color and design theme similar to this:

and the ceiling design is something like this (just all white and no chandelere):

I was thinking of painting the ceiling a very faintyellow (butter yellow?) while leaving the borders white.

Can u make other suggestions? What color do you think will go well with the rest of the room? I'd prefer lighter, warm colors as opposed to darker, heavy ones. But feel free to make suggestions, thanks!

PS: i can't paint the walls :)

Go to http://sherwinwilliams.com and do a virtual room. You can choose a room style, drag and drop paint colors onto it, and then it will suggest coordinating colors. I could play with it all day long, it's so much fun. Even if you don't buy Sherwin-Williams products, you can get a better idea of what color you want.

I was told to add a bit of the wall color to the ceiling color. It brings the room together. Good luck.

A shade of orange would be nice; I'd prefer cranberry but probably too dark for you, but it would work well with those colors.

It may sound boring, but I think a taupe color would be very nice.
