try using a multiple color scheme, like walls, trim, and an accent color for 1 or 2 walls. Most paint manufacturers put out color cards showing colors that will work together. Also in Benjamin Moore's Affinity collection, all the colors work together.

what kind of boutique? there 's a trendy clothes boutique across the street from me and they have a light color on 3 walls and dark floral wallpaper on 1 wall. the whole thing looks hip

nicely my fiancee's wedding ceremony gown seems plenty like the gown you're describing, even the colour. behr.com. or walk into any paint store and most colour centers now have booklets of complementing colours chip samples with three or four colours that go together on one chip card.

use pastels and light blue to contrast...it worked for me
