What cool things can I get for my room?

I am moving house soon and I want to plan what my room will look like. I am a 15yr old female and I want to have cool accessories for my new room such as glow in the dark stars and lava lamps... Need more cool things, any suggestions? It would be helpful if it was quite cheap.

I saw an awesome idea that someone did and they took (any color, white would be best) string lights -like Christmas lights- and strung them across the top of their ceiling kind of making a border around the room. It looked AWESOME!

You could put a chalk wall on one of the walls in your room and get someone (or yourself if you're a good artist) to write all kinds of stuff on it or draw awesome pictures and designs in all different colors. That would look so cool.

You just have to take a look at websites and stuff for some really great ideas and such. I suggest to look on Pinterest, that is such a great website for ideas!!

You can paint a mural or random doodles on your walls, posters, and yes... GLOW IN THE DARK STARS. Those are my life >.< Anyway. You know typewriters look really cool. Pretty soon, they won't be hipster anymore, so you'll look original and vintage. It's adorable. I have one and it makes my room have character. It's kinda expensive, but I got mine for a really good deal. You can also get wall decals. Those are pretty cheap. I also like vintage clocks and things. Like a (flat-ish) birdcage. If you go to farmers markets or something like trade days, you can find all sorts of cheap things that look really cool.





But yeh. I wish I could move. I'm also 15. And female. Have fun! Just be creative and give it personality :P Hope I helped.

Hi - how about making some diy art for one of your walls?



Get some remnants of fabric or an extra pillowcase/cushion the same as your bedding and use the fabric to cover some artists blank canvases - cut enough fabric to go around the back of the canvas and just staple it on. Have a look here to see what I mean:)
