If the ceiling vents are 10 to 18 ft above the floor, you may turn them any way you want to and by no ability word the version. chilly air falls in spite of the undeniable fact that it would not drop like a rock. At that top above the floor, it infrequently concerns which way some thing is pointed.

First of all let me explain a fact in physics. Always warm or hot air goes up and cold air goes down. How to point vets is up to the design of house, but try not to point the vents to the walls. In that case you will just lose energy!!! Try to point them to middle-upper space in the room. It is because that it would make a smooth circulation in and most importantly it would not bother anyone.

If on the ceiling - down and out. If on the wall, down towards the floor. If on the floor not towards the wall.

It doesn't really matter so much as to where they point as much as it matters where they are located, which should be in front of windows and near to doors (outside).
