I'm re-doing my room a little and its light blue. I want to pick maybe one or two colors that can be the accent! So my room will mainly be blue but i need this accent color for like pillows, fuzzy blankets etc. I was thinking purple! Suggestions? :)

Blue is a classic decorating color that can be used to set a wide variety of tones. From light and airy to deep and seductive, you can find a palette to suit the mood of nearly any room in your home. Blue walls are versatile enough to stand the trial of several redecorations and can easily be worked around by changing the other colors at play in the room.

Earth Tones

Paired with earth tones, you can use blue to invoke images of the sky, while shades of brown mimic the earth and green brings in the fresh feel of foliage. This palette allows plenty of room for customization.

Crisp White

Blue and white combine to create a crisp, clean and fresh look. With blue walls, use white trim and a white ceiling to create a light and airy backdrop. Continue the scheme with white painted furniture for wood pieces and blue upholstery that echoes the walls for couches and plush chairs.

Sunny Yellow

Yellow is a cheerful and warming accompaniment to blue. With blue walls, you can bring in yellow in placemats, tablecloths, furniture upholstery and window treatments.

Jewel Tones

Blue, red and purple are rich jewel tones that can turn any room into an opulent getaway. Pair rich blue walls with amethyst, ruby and cobalt in the form of bedding and upholstery for a bedroom with an enveloping sense of luxury.

Orange and light blue coordinate well for a vibrant color scheme. The challenge in working with an unusual color scheme, however, is that unless the colors coordinate well, the room will look wrong. Learning how to create a color scheme and work with colors to create balance in your decor will help you create a harmonious yet vibrant aesthetic. Explore orange and light blue color ideas t

Earthy shades of orange, such as dark pumpkin and burnt orange, have more red in them, and bright shades of orange, such as duck-bill orange or squash-blossom orange have more yellow in them. Pale shades of orange such as light tangerine offer a soft choice for walls and window treatments.

An accent color supplies a third color to add to prints and accessories for a greater variety of color in the room. For example, dark blue or cream work well with orange and light blue. All the neutral colors, including gray, taupe, tan, brown and black can also work with orange and light blue.

Like brown and white. Since my room is a blue pastel color I have yellow accents and tan wooden furniture. It's pretty awesome and sophisticated looking.

For a Dramatic/Goth seem you might take a look at thick black liner throughout eyes, heavy mascara and vivid fuscia/scorching purple shadow on lids and underneath diminish lasline [consider Amy Lee from Evanescence] or For a extra edgy "Rocker" seem, use black liner on interior lids (underneath higher lashline, above diminish lashline) and smear a little bit round your outer lids too,to quite make your eyes pop. Mascara not obligatory. [Think Avril Lavigne] or For a extra glam seem, you might do the traditional Cat's eye seem (thick black liquid liner swept throughout best lid and flared out and up a little bit within the corners ; two coats of mascara on best lashles, a million coat on backside). [Think Marilyn Monroe or Christina Aguilera]. or for a extra refined, every day seem, skinny black liner and any color of blue shadow will have to do the trick.
