bed room for teenager ideas!!!?

Question

Ok so i am a teenager and re doing my room. Different paint on the walls and i have a smaller room. I would like to have a old time room with a modern twist. Maybe something with audrey hepburn as the theme. I would like a calm bedroom that is not brite. Something when at night i feel peacefull and and calm. I want to use the color purple.

If you paint your walls purple, don't use all purple bedding, rugs etc. Everything will fade together.

I love both the pictures you have up.



You could use a light purple for the walls and a dark purple for your bedding.

Maybe Lilac or Lavender would be a nice calming shade for your room. Other secondary colors you could add (but I wouldn't do more than 3 colors) are a light sage green or light powder blue. You have chosen an ideal color wheel for a bedroom. The blues are suppose to be calming colors (also include soft purples) which are ideal for a bedroom! You could frame pretty pictures on the wall with soft white frames. White mixes nice with pine or light wood. If there is a theme you like for instance "music", you might want to do a stencil around the top border of your walls ' musical notes or words to a favorite song? Remember a lot of decorating is psychological too. What will calm you at night and how will it make you feel when you wake up. No one wants to wake up to clashing images or clashing colors, right? Go with your moods, feelings and things that make you happy. Enjoy!
