Right all the furniture in my room is white. The walls are white.
I'm tired of everything being so colorless!

So I want to turn my room into a more Gothic/Victorian style bedroom.

Problem is I don't know where to find good furniture.

I went on Google and searched so much but I couldn't find anything!

Are there any nice furniture stores? I don't care if it's expensive or if it's cheap.

Also, I was thinking of painting my walls a new color, like deep red or black. Maybe have one wall black, another dark red.
And I was wondering what color the ceiling should be...

And lastly can you please list me some good sites or stores that sell nice Punk and/or Gothic decor.

Thanks so much in advance!

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "real red" (# 6868) walls would look way cool with a dark blue ceiling like "tempe star" (# 6229).

You can take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

You might consider putting a deep red velvet fabric on the walls. You can find imitation velvet fairly cheap online and if you were to paint 3 walls black and then apply the fabric to the wall your bed will be on it would make a very dramatic statement... You might also think about putting the fabric on the ceiling as well. It will draw the I up and directly to your bed. Metal canopy beds are common in department stores and catalogs like fingerhut. If you find a style you like you can easily paint it with dtm (direct to metal) paint. Also check goodwill and flea markets for great furniture in need of some tlc. If you find something you like that is real wood, (not particle board or plywood) you can sand it and stain it in a dark stain and it will look more ominous. Also the seventies was a great era for rod iron sconces chandeliers and candle holders.. again check flea markets, garage sales and resale shops... good luck

one good idea- Scour the local goodwill store for a frame/ picture you can re- purpose. Sometimes with a little fresh paint- the frames are actually cheaper than buying brand new frames. you can put the empty frame on the wall and inside it- hang small groupings of postcards, black and white photos of you and your friends-

paint the canvas over and frame some fabric- good luck !

find an old lamp- and hang some cheap acrylic crystals from the shade or from some metal parts with wire or thread. Heres a good link!
