KILZ is good and depending on the size of your project and how much air flow, it could dry within an hour.

Sherwin Williams paint is the best in my opinion. I just painted my entire new house. Depending on humidity and temperature the paint is dry enough to touch in about 1.5 hours. If you are waiting until you can apply the second coat it may be like 2-4 hours. The paint can usually has the information about drying times on it.
For rollers if you are painting a large area you may want to use the tube style. They look like a standard roller only they have perforated holes in the roller and screw on to a tube that you fill with paint. When the roller needs more paint you just push it out of the tube and the paint comes out of the perforated holes in the roller. These are handy because you don't have to constantly dip your roller in a pan. the ones that I used would paint a 10 by 10 area with one tube full. You should be able to pick them up at any hardware store. They are much cheaper to buy than the powerized sytems.

You can get everything you need at WalMart. They have good paint and a huge array of colors. The room, once you cut in all around all doors and windows with a brush, will take abou 1 1/2 hr to dry to the touch. If you need a second coat remember your trim may need a second coat too. The thing is it takes less paint to roll, a brush uses more paint and covers first coat, so you probably won't need to do that twice. Also, if you have never rolled paint, just go up and down in a W so you won't have overlaps or runs.

Best paints, Pratt & Lambert- Dutch Boy- Glidden, and the Sears premium grade paints are also quite good.
For best quality brushes and rollers, visit a regular paint store, as they usually have a better grade than Home Depot and other discount stores.
Your local Paint store personel will more than likely give you best advise.
The time to dry depends on too many factors to give a set time, humidity, type of wall surface ect.

Behr paint from home depot is possibly one of the best paints out there. It is not that expensive but the quality is awesome. You can also get any color you can imagine with behr. If you want a good solid dry give it 2/3 days, depending on how many coats you will need to put on. With the supplies, if you want really good quality you may want to go to a paint supply store like duron, but home depot is just as good in my opinion....
