Before choosing a type of finish for the paint you intend to use, plan to spend the money for brand name high quality paint and follow the preperation and application directions. This is not the time to buy the cheapest paint you can find.

If you are painting a half bath without a tub/shower, you can use flat, eggshell, satin, semigloss, or gloss. The choice is yours since high humidity and frequent cleaning shouldn't be a problem. If you are painting a full bath that is going to be used by a couple of fairly careful adults, the type of finish you choose is also wide open.

If you are painting a full bath that will be used by children (and this includes oblivious teens!), you should probably use a semigloss paint. It will stand up to the punishment of frequent cleaning longer than anything other than high gloss. The choice of high gloss is a matter of personal preference due to the way it reflects light and tends to show every flaw in the wall behind the paint. A good paint store may also recommend a paint with a mildewcide additive that will help minimize mildew in a high humidity environment.

Good luck with your painting project.

Use Mild Tones, Such as a FAUX FINISH in Yellow.. or wallpaper in yellow sort of like a palace, it makes the place look bigger. Blue colors make the place feel sad and cold. Good Luck.

P.S. if you are looking for brands i would recommend Benjamin Moore, Tell them you are a contractor and don't have an account. They will give you Wholesale Price.
