Yes, you can have them laminated in a multitude of colors. I'll post a link for you to view. If you're really handy and have the necessary tools, you can do it yourself.
I have a friend that moved into a house and she didn't like the color of her kitchen counters. She put a real nice contact paper on the counter tops, and her kitchen looks brand new. I was really surprised at what a difference it made, and it was inexpensive.

Try using a type of sticky backed paper called fablon thats what we have done. Its available in mirror effect, marble effect, crazy designs and simple colours aswel as other effects and metallics. Available from many different places we got ours from dominoes (the toys and craft shop... Not the takeaway lol)

Try 'Fablon'.
It's vinyl on a roll with a self adhesive back. Loads of colours and patterns (from flowers to marble). Seen it in places like B&Q etc..

You could tile over them for a pretty low price if you do the work.

you could buy a special primer and then paint them any colour you wanted. Check with your local DIY store
