Hi,

Can someone please give the pros and cons for kitchen cabinets made from MCF, MDF and HDF?

HDF is your better choice. It is High Density Fiberboard, and it holds up better to moisture than MDF which is medium density fiberboard.

Mdf board will be fine to use in your kitchen everywhere except around your sink. Most cabinet companies use MDF to make the boxes of their cabinets and real wood for the doors so it looks good. I would suggest around the sink to use a birch plywood. You can use MDF on your wardrobe as well.

Cons: Moisture can warp it and make it swell

Heavier than wood

Can't be restained but can be repainted.
