I like seamstress's idea, but let me expand on it. Do you have a Logo for your business? Paint it giant size on one wall ( the wall that is behind you.) Have your recording clients cut and sold an album? Put the album cover in a frame and show it off!

You want people to be comfortable and at ease, yet have your decor on the trendy side, yes?

The single most effective way to decorate that gives the most impact is something as inexpensive as paint. You should paint and paint with flair. Do something edgy with a bit of style. Perhaps draw a diagonal line from the upper left corner of the wall to the lower right corner to the floor and paint two different colors. Or maybe a two foot stripe just above eye level would work. Maybe take some black and white photos of your clients in action and hang them in an art gallery stripe on the wall. Energetic colors are royal blue and orange tones or perhaps find color inspiration in decorative pillows or another item in the room. Get some bold geometric fabric and use it for pillows on the couch. Go to a second hand furniture store or a flea market and look for some wooden chairs with arms, you can spray paint them silver to use as accent seating.

Change the lighting and add some trendy lamps. A simple kit of a light bulb on a wire wrapped with a chain can dangle from the ceiling (plugged into the wall) with a neat lamp shade to create extra light over a coffee table or in a dark corner.

Soft furnishings such as pillows and an area rug give hard surfaces a comfortable feel. Our senses are always at work even when we are not thinking of them, so comfort can seem like a state of mind when, actually we are taking in our surroundings and that's what makes us comfortable. So, walk into the studio and be objective as you pay attention to what you see, feel, hear and smell. The scent of lavender and vanilla are calming, so perhaps candles or room fresheners could emit those scents. I love a candy dish full of hard candies and am never shy about taking one or two.

You can use some promotional items you get from your equipment suppliers and hang them in the seating area. Even if you blow up and print their letter heads, logo or the like -- it is all cohesive and quite fitting. Think out side the box.

in case you will discover vinal records you may cover a wall or make a boarder with them around the cieling. Musical contraptions superb around on the wall. sound proofing of the partitions can seem cool if finished suitable. a great previous reel to reel sitting on a shelf. Reels on the wall however the desirable way if in case you have somebody ingenious interior the kinfolk that would paint the partitions a mural.

Just a suggestion,,,, I went online and found Photo's of Musicians, Artists, etc, and Printed them like 8" x 10" mostly black and white, and put those into matching frames and hung those on walls.
